For conducting the test for copper strip corrosion by liquefied petroleum (LP) gases according to American Society for Testing and Materials Designation: D1838 (ASTM D1838) and the "LPG Corrosion Test (Copper Strip Method)" of the Natural Gas Processors Association. See ASTM Standards on Petroleum Products and Lubricants and N.G.P.A. Publication 2140.

Inside the 46C copper strip corrosion test cylinder is a dip tube that extends down approximately 2.5", on which MGM's copper test strip hangs.

MGM's LPG corrosion test cylinder is equipped with two of MGM's 1/4" stainless steel needle valves, model 19A.
